Rick has over 35 years of experience in the industry, with an emphasis on commercial, residential, and senior care projects. His high-technical skillset, coupled with his attention to detail and penchant for mentorship, makes him a strong asset to the CBTWO team.

He earned his Associate’s Degree in Architectural Drafting from an Arizona High-Tech Institute in 1977. Following graduation, Rick started his career working for a Residential Designer, a Civil/ Structural Engineer and then a Modular Builder. In the mid 80’s he reached his goal of working in an architectural firm when he joined Settecase Smith Doss Architects where he primarily focused on local commercial and retail projects. From there he continued to work for other Salem-based architectural firms including Curry Brandaw Architects and played a key role in many award-winning projects in the community. Rick joined CBTWO as Production Manager at the beginning of 2013.  With his years of experience, he provides staff mentorship and works with the project team to transform CBTWO design ideas into clear and concise technical drawings.

 Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and first grandchild. Rick and his wife have a goal of hiking and cycling through as many of the National Parks as they can. He still thrives at the challenge of riding his bike with the younger and faster cycling groups in the community.
